The UFS Sasol Library will with effect from today the 07 May 2018 open an 80 seater 24 hours study space at corner Swot and Graduandi Street. This area adds to the two other 24 hour study areas available at the library and we hope it will alleviate the shortage of study areas on campus. .

The library will continue to work hard and be innovative to support academic excellence and research in the hope that our student community will appreciate and work hard for their academic success. We have made arrangements with Campus Security to ensure the safety of students in the study area at all times.

The following and all other library rules will apply in the study are:

  • Use designated areas for identified purposes (discussion, silent studying, kitchen for food, etc.)

  • Keep noise levels in discussion rooms at reasonable levels

  • Avoid unnecessary disruptions such as telephonic conversations

  • Keep all areas neat and tidy
