| The book club presents an opportunity to develop and enhance reading and writing skills for the UFS community. |
- To create an environment that fosters a reading culture with the university community.
- To develop critical thinking, reading and writing skills.
- To enhance the visibility of the LIS within the university
- To promote the library collection and development of as well as library spaces.
- To encourage collaboration between the LIS and various stakeholders within the university.
- To enable students to develop a greater understanding of the books they are reading by the provision of a forum for discussion.
- To expose students to a wide range of literature, themes and issues.
