The Best assignment project is meant to inspire, motivate and encourage students to put extra efforts in producing assignment of the best quality. This project is meant to harness and nurture undergraduate research in line with the university’s research-led strategy. There are requirements as to how assignments should be presented. This demonstrates the level of knowledge acquisition and academic writing skills. The Library contributes in this activity by training students on library research skills to access scholarly, academic, specialist and expert information resources in supporting academic excellence. This is a collaborative practice between the library and respective departments within faculties.
The UFS libraries in collaboration with the Departments of Sociology in the Humanities Faculty and Zoology in the Natural and Agricultural Sciences Faculty are excited to announce that the winners of the 2019 Best Assignment project are:
Ms Nombulelo Shongwe received the gift on behalf of Mr Johandré de Haan who could not be present.
Van Schaick offered a gift voucher of R 500.00 and Sherwood Books offered a gift voucher of R 750.00 and the UFS LIS appreciates this gesture.
The UFS LIS and the departments would like to congratulate the winners!
