ORCID

What is the Intembeko ORCID Hub?

Getting ready to submit a funding proposal? Updating your CV for NRF rating? Publishing in journals requiring a unique identifier? Applying for promotion? Increasing your visibility among peers globally?

Then you will need to update your ORCID. A time-consuming task that the UFS can help you with through the Intembeko ORCID Hub. To participate, you simply need to give the UFS permission to connect to your ORCID record.

Researcher user guide

You can connect your ORCID record to Intembeko allowing the UFS to read and write (limited) information to your ORCID record, such as affiliation and research output. ORCID supports opt-in support and you can always choose to remove any link or connection to any trusted organisation on your ORCID record. Intembeko ORCID Hub makes it easy for you to connect with the UFS. It has the added benefit of allowing your librarian to assist you with more personal support in updating your ORCID record without using your login credentials. Ask your librarian for more information on how to do this. See our faculty guides to connect with your librarian.

To connect with the UFS, do the following:

  • Log in to Intembeko ORCID Hub with your university credentials.
  • Once logged in, you will need to link your ORCID record to Intembeko.

You can follow the links on the left hand side of the page to start the process. Additionally, if you don't have an ORCID record, you will need to create on by following our guide.
