UFS African Languages Press

Background

The Press will mainly be focused on the publishing of African Languages and translations of popular mainstream books into African languages.

The UFS African Languages Press (UFSALP) aims to be a publisher of high-quality original African Languages monographs and research to promote access, preservation, and usage of African marginalised languages. The press will capitalize on the growing marginalization of African Languages by filling a gap left open by mainstream publishing companies.

The press will also make an impact by contributing towards engaged scholarship through the incubation programs that will empower authors in the surrounding Free State communities and contribute to producing graduates who are already established writers and published authors by the time they graduate to enhance African languages.
