The winner is Martin Laubscher for his book “Publieke teologie as profetiese teologie” (Public theology as prophetic theology). The judges stated that this work contains a very thorough piece of theological research. Laubscher addresses the relationship between public theology and prophetic theology and does so in conjunction with the theology of Karl Barth. Laubscher can formulate his thoughts clearly and coherently with systematic logic. “The work is theologically creative and a unique contribution to our thinking about prophecy. It is an original contribution and of great value to Afrikaans theology.”
The judges were Rev. Hans Linde, Dr. Annette Potgieter, and Dr. Tom Smith. The publisher is African Sun Media.
