What is Bing AI?

Bing AI is the new AI-powered chat mode of Microsoft Bing that can help the user quickly get summarised answers and creative inspiration. It is different from ChatGPT in that it uses Bing's web search results to provide factual and relevant information, while ChatGPT relies on its own internal knowledge and language models to generate responses. Bing AI also has more features that ChatGPT, such as the ability to ask questions with pictures, access chat history, and export responses to Microsoft Word.

Is it free?

Bing AI is a Microsoft product that requires one to have a Microsoft account before you can use it. It is free to use as long as you're signed in to the search engine via Microsoft's Edge browser.

Is it user-friendly?

It is not easy to access, since you have to sign in first, and access it through the Microsoft Bing website. Tip: if you're struggling to use Bing AI on the campus network, change the SafeSearch to a less strict option.

How can Bing AI be used in the UFS context?

Similar to ChatGPT, it can be used in almost every context, in research, writing, brainstorming and has additional features such as an image search.
